purush
Hey guys don't you all see that the file is corrupt ? you need to re-install XP or better still do a repair installation. I do the repair installation whenever I cannot find or access a file or a folder and after which it is there where it should be.

Spacedog
Try this: open System properties, go in AdvancedPerformanceVisual options, and control if "Smoth edges of screen fonts" is checked. This could do the trick. another solution (if this doesn't work): open Regedit, and look for this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop. On the right window you'll see a lot of options: to activate Clear Type, "FontSmoothingType" must be set to 2.
