Rumor: Street Fighter V full roster, new characters details, Online Beta, reveal time and no ken ???

Warning: the following information should be treated as a rumor.

 

We have received through a person who shall remain nameless (who also claims insider access to Capcom) what looks like the full roster and plan for Street Fighter V. We are trying to verify this information, and in the meantime we have decided to publish it as a rumor.

 

According to this source, Street Fighter V will only have 14 playable characters at launch and 1 DLC character. The plan for Capcom is to offer

Obviosly there will be Super Street Fighter V - when the game will actually become good.

 

 

It always seemed to me like Street Fighter IV was a massive, pay for,  beta test.  And Super Street Fighter IV was the game finally released based on that beta test with more characters and improved mechanics.

I bet this will be the case here as well.

They killed Street Fighter.

I kinda disagree. While it's nice that they built a series that people want to keep playing over and over, it's hard to progress a series if all you do is update the graphics. I was never a huge Street Fighter fan, but I think it's only natural to phase out some characters and bring new ones in as a series goes on.

I understand bringing new characters in, they've always done a good job at that. I also understand phasing some out, but come on, there's just like 3 characters that carried over from Street Fighter 2, which is the reason Street Fighter even means anything.

 

I think they're avoiding E. Honda because the console will not be able to keep up 1080/60fps with his hundred hand slap.

Honestly, this model of paying for new characters is just getting beyond silly. I bought SF4 and ended up playing it for about an hour before getting bored.

Street fighter isn't street fighter without Ken. taking Ken out of Street Fighter would be like taking Scorpion out of Mortal Kombat, and you know hat that means, Ryu doesn't have a rival to fight him anymore just like how Subzero would be without a rival to fight if Scorpion was kicked out! Same for Guile. If he were out too, that would mean alienating a large part of the street fighter fanbase who loves guile enought to even play Street Fighter in the First place.

 

About Blanka...... If she's out, I may end up worrying about the future of Street fighter, and you all know what it would look like without street fighter.

Pretty much worse than just Mega Man gone!

 

That means the only other long running Capcom series that isn't obscure (like Ghosts and Goblins) or recent day like Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry meaning the 3 game series which got people to really love Capcom for what It is today (Mega Man, Street Fighter & Resident Evil) may end up disappearing into obscurity again and cause Capcom to really start falling apart if Street Fighter gets botched and Resident Evil ends up being next, so watch out for any forced botchings to Street Fighter!

 

Can't let that game series get botched like Mega Man when Its biggest competitor Mortal Kombat is still alive and kicking.

How the hell do you not have Ken in Street fighter? Thats like cereal without milk! Oh wait, they plan to charge extra for him :/
