KeybladeSpyMaster
Just thought to mention that Google announced today expansion of Google Fiber to my hometown of Salt Lake City, UT. I got an email about it about two hours ago, and they've updated their website. I don't know anything about how long it'll take for them to do it. https://fiber.google.com/cities/saltlakecity/

TAZMINATOR
On one hand i want gigabit, on the other hand I don't want Google to control my internet access... If you don't want Google, then your current provider will increase or build your Fiber package to 1Gbps someday so you wouldn't worry about Google. Details from AT&T for Texas: http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=24032&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=36275 Cable companies will follow suit and try to keep customers as long as they have 1Gbps or higher. vanx
The problem is that there usually needs to be competition in the area to make other providers bump up their offerings.
