Microsoft teams up with the WWE to promote the band ahead of Wrestlemania

A few weeks back, Microsoft announced that the Band would be heading to a new market and now that the device is readily available at retail outlets, the company is shifting focus to marketing. Ahead of WrestleMania 31, the Redmond based company has teamed up with two wrestlers to monitor their training as they prepare for the big event on Sunday.

WWE Superstars, Ryback and Dolph Ziggler, will be wearing the Microsoft Band to track their fitness and fans can track Dolph’s and Ryback's activity leading up to WrestleMania through their Microsoft Health live Dashboard here.

The fact that you can monitor their health stats on the web as these athletes prepare for the main event adds a dynamic component to this marketing campaign. It's a unique way to keep fans involved with WrestleMania and shows what all the Band is capable of monitoring too.

WrestleMania 31 takes place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., this Sunday at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT.
