Psion7
Hey, I am interested in Microsoft's whole universal app thing coming later this year with Windows 10 and wanted to get my feet wet with Windows Phone development. I hate emulators though so I thought about picking up a cheap Windows Phone for development. Now I don't want to get a PoS phone I want something that is actually usable as a daily smart phone. They only thing I don't care much about is the quality of the camera on it. I have an iPhone that will remain my actual phone but I want to be able to try and work with a WP as a daily driver. I am in the UK and would like to pick up a pay as you go or SIM free model. I had a quick look online and there are so many models it is a crazy. Which model is the latest one? What are the tiny differences between all these models? It is a nightmare. Why are Microsoft releasing so many low end phones? Basically I just want something cheap(ish) that I can use for development and a daily driver smartphone from an apps point of view (not camera). Psion7
The 735 looks like a pretty good device without being silly money. Anyone here got one? The 830 looks even better and for only a little bit extra in the price.
+Fahim S. MVC Posted March 28, 2015 MVC Share Posted March 28, 2015 I have one and it is a lovely device. The two key things it lacks are:1) a decent amount of storage space and 2) no glance screen. I have never tried using it for development (never built a Windows Phone app), but I imagine it would suit the task. Psion7 1 Share
