*yawn. I thought I'd see some killer graphics or something. It's not much sharper than emulating the original in high resolution but whatever keeps the boat afloat.

Just standardly PBR'd visual style applied on practically the whole scene and characters. HD is not even a word that needs to be used when you're developing games in almost any modern game developer engine.

I don't think there's any PBR, the guy developed it in Unity 4 and ported it to 5, he mentioned that he used none of the newer lighting stuff.

Anyway, it's just a test/demo for his character controller class, heck of a nice way to get attention though.

Not even the effort of PBR. Looks like he straight up took a texture dump of Super Mario Galaxy and maybe 3D world.
