They are owned by the same parent company, and offer almost the same stuff. Futureshop offers some appliances that Bestbuy doesn't, but they could have figured out how to consolidate. I did find it kind of silly that a lot of Best Buy and Futureshop stores were pretty much in viewing distance from each other. I hope they employees losing their jobs bounce back quickly. Yea, really sucks for the employees as I guess they weren't given advance notice (from what I've read). Just bam...goodbye. As you said, hope they (the employees) bounce back from this quickly.
