Samsung Galaxy S6 edge gets punished in brutal drop test video

During the course of development, companies will spend countless hours stress testing their devices to make sure that they can withstand real world dings and drops. With a few weeks to go before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, a video has popped up online that shows a horrendous drop test that is sure to make you cringe.

Although the Samsung S6 edge looks stunning, the thinness and materials (glass front and back) might lead you to believe that the device could be a bit fragile. Luckily, someone has decided to launch the device into their office floor in order to prove that the folks at Samsung have built a sturdy device that can withstand some abuse. After being propelled into the ground a couple of times, the Galaxy S6 edge is picked up and shown to be fully functional. Naturally, most of us will never inflict this type of abuse on our devices, but it's good to know that the S6 edge can handle it.

While we often would love to believe that the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge can survive this type of abuse, could it be possible that some things are a bit too good to be true. What are your thoughts on this video?
