Voyager X Screenshot Tour

Recommended Posts

Voyager X is here. Based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, comes with kernel 3.16 and xfce 4.12.

been looking for a xfce based distro for my notebook since long time, this could be it.

image.jpgthis is how the desktop looks default. nice, clean icons, a small conky script is there as well and i love the blue dots showing you on which virtual workspace you currently are.

backup tool, i think this is what ubuntu brings with by default, included here too.

click on the down-arrow on the right systray, brings a terminal window rolling down ca. half of your desktop size.

there is an incredible sidebar (have not checked yet on what it's based on) but it offers a lot of functions and i can hardly believe that this is all implemented by default.

if you select "terminal" on that said sidebar a very fancy terminal opens on workspace 3. loving it. if you later manually switch to workspace 3 by default you will see that there is a trick used to make this terminal looking so special ;)

until that moment i did not know that smplayer had a dedicated youtube video browser.

personal workspace. this is a nice gimmick especially with that wallpaper, loads the calculator, the notes and the calendar.

very impressive and complete systemstats tool.

image.jpg

comes with glances as well which i knew before.

image.jpg

besides the default xfce file manager it also offers one based on the terminal.

kodi comes default.

on that right sided sidebar you can also start voyager box, which offers nice features. a security audit for example. :)
