The Rev
I've tried every way I can think of to get them installed... Tried Openvpn software, Torguard (which is my VPN provider), tried different compatibility settings/running as administrator. I ended up just rolling back to 10041, because not being able to use my vpn is a deal breaker for the new build for me. Anyone else had any problems and/or know of any solutions? patriceac
Ran into the same issue after the upgrade to 10041. A fresh install of the same 10041 resolved the issue. Didn't try to upgrade to 10049 yet, but I'm expecting the same issue again based on this thread.
patriceac
Updated to 10049 and the problem is back. Looks like this happens with any update from earlier version to 10041 and later. The TAP driver in device manager is disabled, and reactivating it doesn't help. It gets disabled again as soon as I try to connect to the VPN. Ran into the same issue after the upgrade to 10041. A fresh install of the same 10041 resolved the issue. Didn't try to upgrade to 10049 yet, but I'm expecting the same issue again based on this thread. +Anarkii Subscriber² Posted April 1, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted April 1, 2015 I have the same problem with 10049. Worked fine in 10041. Tried everything I can think of but nothing works, but 10049 is a better build for me than 10041 so i can live with it. Sorry cant help you with the TAP driver
Richard Burtov
I had no problems with the TAP driver via privatetunnel. Good luck getting it resolved.
Eric Veteran Posted April 1, 2015 Veteran Share Posted April 1, 2015 Was just told of driver installation issues for a realtek sound card. apparently it times out. I wouldn't risk production systems with beta software You can usually get around the RealTek install issues by extracting the installer and just pointing the Device Manager's update to the folder.
