Windows 8.1 App store--not opening app download page properly

Hi All

 

Using Windows 8.1, wanted to download Iheart radio Modern app for the moment, anyways when clicked on it nothing happened, no page opened to download or nothing, anyways Antivirus using is Avast 10.2.2215 (latest version)  all updates installed.   What should I do to fix this error? 

 

sfc /scannow (would that help)

 

or dism-online cleanup restore health command?

 

 

I guess I could switch to Windows Defender Antivirus if I have to, I don't mind, i'm a cautious surfer these days,  IE 11 used, with privacy and tracking protection on, smart screen, most of my day is surfing a few websites, and Playing Secondlife game, or some other game, or listening to music

You can try running the official Troubleshooting app from Microsoft:

Alternatively, you can run wsreset.exe locally (run as elevated).

 

A third issue that I've seen sporadically is that links to app pages aren't rendered properly and the clickable content gets the wrong z-index or something. You can tell when this happens if you see two dark frames appear when hovering over app listings in the store, with one frame slightly offset from the other. You can hit the clickable area by clicking around the edges of the frames.

Fixed with WSreset.exe (elevated)  Thanks so much for replying!! 

 

This issue totally solved, appreciate the quick reply in this matter, and the info, will remember that if it happens again
