Display question

Is there any way to make liney gradient backgrounds less noticeable? Can't seem to find any setting in the AMD Catalyst Control Center that would allow me to do so.

Here's an image to demonstrate what I mean, in case my question wasn't clear enough:

where is that image from,  your image is liney, Limey ;)

however, when i create a similar image in paint.net it does not have lines.

so i don't think display or video card drivers has anything to do with it.

unless you are looking for a way to apply blur or something? but that will affect everything

not sure what you are asking.

Uh well! Basically any image, program or thing that uses gradients seems to appear liney. Here's another example:

Any fixes for this?

I think I know what you mean (though I have no solution)... try taking a close up pic of your monitor with your phone so we can see what you see?

I assume you've verified that the color depth is set to maximum? You can try to fiddle with your display output options (brightness, contrast), and your color profile to minimize the contrast between the bands.

What model display is it?
