+Zagadka Subscriber² Posted April 14, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted April 14, 2015 ... do plain web pages really justify P2P networking? Videos, OK, but... I think I'll stay with the one that has a concept of security...
BinaryData
Great idea, but unless it's secured, and monitored for bad code, this won't go very far. It's just like Microsoft's Windows For Gamers OS they discussed. A stripped down version of Windows, oriented toward Gamers only. It died before even budget approval came too. BinaryData
Well it could get more and more people into the idea the torrents are not all bad... People are wary of Torrents because of the MPAA/FBI and all these different groups hitting people for torrent'ing. That trust and tarnish will take awhile to be polished back up. +Zagadka Subscriber² Posted April 14, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted April 14, 2015 Go to my bank account on a torrent-based application? I don't care how long they say it is secure, not going to happen.
astropheed Veteran Posted April 14, 2015 Veteran Share Posted April 14, 2015 I foresee a lot of difficulties with this and all my searching is not giving me answers. How does someone updates a website? How does it determine the most up-to-date website? If you're master seed goes down then who becomes the master seed, and how do you get it back? Not to mention, there goes all of my anonymity, everyone needs to have access to my I.P. if I'm part of the swarm. The security implications of this are massive. I want this to work but alarm bells are ringing in my head and no one, not even them, seem to address them. I'll be a fly on the wall until I feel my questions have been answered. Even though some U.S. Judges are dropping cases, IP Address aren't attached to ONE person. That's why I never use my phone for anything.
