How do I know what kind of connector does my headphones have ?

Recommended Posts

Hi again , friends .

I want to buy some new headphones but I ran in to a big problem ... It seems I have no idea about what kind of jack do I need [ 3,5 mm or 6,3 mm one ? ]

I've checked out my motherboard producer specifications buit it only says : '' - HD Audio Jack: Line in / Front Speaker / Microphone '' and my VIA HD Audio driver won't help me at all ...

There must be a way to find out ...

Anticipated thanks .

I could be wrong on this, but I would be amazed if it was a 6.3mm jack. 3.5mm jacks are standard on mobiles, laptops etc. I don't think I have any equipment anymore that has a 6.3mm jack, but you would be able to tell the difference because of the size of the input port. If it's chunkier than your headphone port on your phone, you'll want a 6.3mm jack.
