karlmalone
I have a text file in a folder and I encrypted it just to try it out. The folder was on the desktop when I encrypted it. Now when i save any file text, web file, anything anywhere. I dont want it to auto encrypt everything i save. I can unencrypt it but thats a hassle with all the stuff I save. How can I get this to stop? I have looked all over to find an answer. Thanks
fr33k
see if you created a security policy type secpol.msc in run, and look there
karlmalone
I looked under Public Key Policies then Encrypting File System and there is no policy defined. How do I make a policy that will only encrypt if I tell it to. Thx

karlmalone
I did but it wasnt much help. it seems weird that because I encrypt one folder every folder and file becomes encrypted automatically. Have to fix this.
Gotenks98
Try checking the top level of that drive that the encrypted files are on. For example if the files are on your c drive go to c: in windows explorer and keep going down subdirectories until first start to see encrypted files.
