VMware Client USB showing no USB devices

Got yet another slightly strange issue and I wonder if anyone has experienced this.

 

If using the Vsphere client I console to a VM and select the USB client attach option, I can see all of my local USB devices from my laptop. However if I repeat the same actions from the VSphere Web Portal, the drop down option shows No USB Devices available.

 

If I select CD/DVD Drive, I can browse my local disks for ISO's, I'm not sure what this proves but I thought its worth a mention.

 

VMware tools are installed

Client OS I'm connecting via is Win 8.1

UAC is turned down to minimal level

I am a Local Admin on this machine - I've tried running IE as an Admin also with no change

Client integration tools are installed and enabled (I can login with SSO and console fine)

IE version 11

 

For whatever reasons Chrome never detects that Client integration is installed so I can't use that but Firefox does seem to work so I would assume in IE there is a security option that may be blocking it?
