SoCalRox
I've been trying to upgrade (for some reason, I never picked up 10049 although I was in Fast ring) and it craps out with error 0xC1900107. if I try using an ISO I found linked to on a Microsoft page (NOT a Microsoft ISO, but one of the developers of Windows linked to it) I get a message "Setup couldn't start properly. Please reboot your PC and try running Windows 10 Technical Preview Setup again." I've tried everything I could think of, including shutting down several services and restarting them after deleting certain files (see the batch file replicated below.) Any ideas? My reset batch file- net stop wuauserv net stop cryptSvc net stop bits net stop msiserver ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old net start wuauserv net start cryptSvc net start bits net start msiserver
benplace
It looks like this is common for a lot of people. Have you tried a clean install?
The_Observer
Im downloading the ESD file from Windows Updates, to create an ISO to install this update.
SoCalRox
A few minutes ago, I discovered that the old ~WINDOWS.BT directory was still there. I couldn't delete all of it even changing owner and permissions, however, I could rename it and that did the trick. A clean install was my next step, but I thought I'd give it that one last shot. Observer, if you search out Windows 10 10061 on Google, you can find a blog page from Microsoft that lists a link to download an ISO.
