At Build 2015, Microsoft announced plans to allow Android developers to bring their apps to Windows 10. They also announced Objective C support to attract iOS developers, but one big question remained. What about Swift?
The short answer is that it's coming. A Microsoft engineer let the news slip in a question/answer session commenting that Microsoft is "going there" but taking things one day at a time. For those of you who aren't familiar with Swift, it was announced at last year's WWDC 2014 and allows iOS and OS X developers to build apps with far less effort and greater performance than Objective C.
Though it doesn't look like Swift support will be coming anytime soon, it is encouraging to see Microsoft covering all of its bases when it comes to developer support.
