zuhairishak
We had an issue with the exchange server(2010) and now all users cant receive email in outlook 2010 but they can send mail. Email works fine via owa. There appears to be an issue with the users ost files. If we recreate the ost file then all works just fine. Is there anyway to do this for all of the users without having to go visit each computer?
0 sc302 Veteran Posted May 6, 2015 Veteran Share Posted May 6, 2015 create a batch file that deletes the ost file upon logon. outlook will then recreate the ost file. del %userprofile%\appdata\local\microsoft\outlook\*.ost Roger H. and xendrome 2 Share

0 techbeck
try this C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\scanost.exe Quicker to rebuild the OST and download all the emails from the server. OST scans take forever and useless since all the emails can be retrieved from the server. PST files..different Raa 1 Share

0 Roger H. Veteran Posted May 7, 2015 Veteran Share Posted May 7, 2015 Yeah I wouldn't bother with OST repair at all as that data is synced to the server. PST is a different story however. I would just delete them all as sc302 said.
