D3300 battery status

Recommended Posts

I traded in my D90 for a D3300 for my wife to use as her work/travel camera.

Is there no way to check the status of the battery/photo count?  Am I stuck with the basic 3-step indicator on the main info screen?

So... do you know that the answer is in that video or did you just simply link the video?

I've looked through the actual user manual and haven't found anything.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for in that photo.  I guess I'll try and watch that video in the background or something.  40 minutes is a big chunk of time.  Do you happen to remember roughly where in the video that screen shot is from?

You said you were looking for battery status?

If so, look at the green icon in camera screen in upper right hand corner as shown above.

And you were looking for the picture count? If so, it is located in brackets in lower right hand corner.

Other way to check battery status, look through the eyeviewer (which is located above the camera display screen) and see info at the top or bottom of the viewer.

The screenshot was not from the video..  I got it from Google Images.

The video is used as video-based user manual which you can learn about D3300.

Ok, I guess I didn't explain it well enough.

On My D90/D600, you can check "Battery Info" in the menu, and it shows the EXACT percentage along with the number of photos taken on the battery, or each battery if you have the grip + another battery installed.

I know you're trying to help, but the explanation you provided was for somebody who's never owned a camera lol.

Oh battery info!  Like this:

Is that you meant?  Then 3300 don't have that.. not all cameras have that...    I don't have that screen...I think that info screen is on high end cameras ( I could be wrong) only on main screen like I told you in a few posts up.  Just battery level, and post count.

I am sorry, I thought you were not able to find the status on the screen..  I was pointing them out where they are located in the screen.

I know you were not new to the camera.. I have seen your pictures in the digital lab thread.

Wow that's lame; Nikon's nerfing the cameras for no reason.  My D50 had that, my D90 had it.  Both of those were low end cameras.

Thx.

OH lol.  I've been doing that.  It's only 2 months to go at this point.

No problem.  They should put that on all cameras but I understand they do whatever they want to do with their cameras.

I have D5000 .. I don't have it.
