If it was not a company phone and the installation of said app was not mentioned anywhere in the company's policies, then I believe she's in her rights

Does it even matter if it was the companies phone or policy?? They can't just go around doing illegal things (if it was illegal)

Unfortunately here in the U.S I'm pretty sure they could get away with that in court. Doesn't mean I agree with it, of course it's immoral
