FiB3R
Twenty years ago this week, at the E3 video game conference in Los Angeles, the head of Sega of America accidentally killed the company Aergan 1 Share
Aergan
I remember when Saturn launched and Bad Influence! (90's British TV videogame show) reviewed it. I remember it being expensive, underwhelming and no new Sonic installment. Andy Crane summed it up in this clip (first 20 seconds): FiB3R 1 Share
kozukumi
Yup and almost 20 years later Sony got to do the same with the price announcement of the PS4. Funny.

123456789A
Already knew this. I was kind of hoping for some new information. Next article they write will probably tell us that Mario is red and Luigi is green. Ian W 1 Share
jerzdawg
Loved my Saturn, Daytona was a great arcade racer. Virtua fighter, xmen vs sf.. It had some great games but I think the overall library of games just couldn't compete
nosense
Saturn was awesome! arcade perfect ports of xmen vs street fighter\marvel super heroes vs street fighter\ dark stalker 3\ Dragon force. I wish i didn't sell my Panzer Dragon Saga for 160. It goes for 500-600 now.
fusi0n
Why is everyone saying "loved"? Get those things back out and dust them off.. As of a few months ago, you can make a homemade cart from an Action Replay and play backups.. FiB3R 1 Share

Dinggus
I loved Sega Genesis; Sonic, Action X (I think this is the name, some type of FPS, had Aerosmith in it). Then Sega Dreamcast I definitely enjoyed House of the Dead 2.
insomniac9
I never got a chance to own the Saturn when it first came out but bought one a couple of years ago and fire it up from time to time. I love playing games from that time when they didn't care about multiplayer or online play. fusi0n 1 Share

+virtorio MVC Posted May 16, 2015 MVC Share Posted May 16, 2015 If I were buying an old console from that generation today, the Saturn has some of the best looking and playing 2D games of that era, whilst most Playstation games look and play like s**t. fusi0n 1 Share

JustGeorge
I loved my Saturn. Panzer Dragoon, Nights... oh the memories... Me too. Still have mine in the closet, along with a bunch of Japanese games. I think I had more fun in the 32-bit era than any other. There were a bunch of gems to be had on both systems back then.Sega should've went straight from Genesis to Saturn. All the add-ons did was segment the market. Sega also failed to anticipate the arrival of 3D. They shoe-horned in 3D with the extra VDP chip, but the machine was designed to be a 2D powerhouse. Capcom games in particular really shined on Saturn. I'd argue that the 32-bit era was the peak of console gaming. Games were designed for fun and longevity, not handholding and microtransactions. margrave and fusi0n 2 Share
