I have searched for a website that has the names of different family members "titles". For instance, I looked up my wife's brothers daughter and found out that she would be my "step niece". Regarding the cousin thing, there are 2 ways for "first cousin once removed," upward and downward. For the upward way, that'd be my parent's first cousin. For the downward way, that'd be MY first cousin's children. Funnily enough, I met one of my second cousins at my great-grandma's funeral wake back in 2010 (she was 97!) and I had an understanding about the cousin thing the year before, so I knew what she (my second cousin) was talking about when she introduced herself and proclaimed her relationship to me and my siblings. tompkin 1 Share Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
