So Massive Chalice looks interesting and is a new game. But this is also the third month in a row that we have Pool Nation. It would be nice to have something different. I was spoiled by PS+ on the PS3, it seems.

Terrible line-up for going into E3 :/

Hope they have news on improving GwG

What's terrible about this? I think 3 of the 4 games are really interesting. Guess you don't like free games. Can't you just be happy with anything you get?

Honestly I think people are expecting a bit much when you can get 12 months of XBL for $45 pretty easily.

I'd like to play Chalice, despite its horrid name.

In a world where there is competition across similar services, it's understandable to compare. PS+ got some free passes at the start when titles weren't great, but when MS and EA stepped in it kept Sony on their toes. PS+ for example just now is getting some flak for being indie central, but it does offer some retail experiences every now and then, even if it's on PS3, like MS with 360. MS should step up a bit by now IMO, they've had Games with Gold running a while, I think it's about time Ryse or something of that size hits the service for Xbox One.

If I've to harbour a bet though, they'll be saving for E3 and announce something on-stage like Ryse, Forza, or Dead Rising. Or maybe even the Halo remaster given its shaky introduction to lead the way to Halo this fall.

The games aren't free, but the same game for X1 3 months in a row is an insult IMO. That coming from someone who is a big fan of Pool Nation too.

It's a really cool name.

Chalice in french-canadian is a swear word.

So if you read it in french-canadian it reads like Massive ****. That's an awesome name.

That I kind of agree on.  I do hope they'll be a little more impressive in the future, but I'm definitely not expecting much.

The 360 side of it has been solid, IMO, but it's also the Xbox with the bigger library and older one, so it's easier to pick bigger games from that one, the XB1 still, not really, doesn't have many titles, so keeping the same ones up there for 2 or maybe even 3 months is just the way it goes for now.

I mean, sure, I'd like for them to offer the bigger AAA titles, so if they do Ryse then great, but say they do, for July, then what?   After that they'll have to pull a Sony and go back to offering indie games again or something else they did 6 months ago.  EA also has it's own vault deal going so don't expect many, if any EA titles to go through GwG now, not really in EA's interest to do that on the XB1.

Awesome line up. I will be picking up every one of those (always wanted them too). Great news for gamers.

Awesome may be pushing it :p Pool Nation has been available for the past two months.

Will definitely try Massive Chalice and Thief.

Well, yeah, I wasn't talking about pool. I have that already.

Yeah i didn't mind the alternating two month thing, but having the same game for three months makes me feel some deal with another game fell through, or similar.

That could always be the case, publishers/developers have to agree to having their games added, and I'm sure the payout isn't the full price listed before something is added to GwG, no way Sony and MS pay that, there's probably some other price, and then they bank on volume covering the difference of said price.

Rumour for Sony is it links into the amount the game is downloaded. I'm sure there is an upfront fee, and maybe it extends from there. Even if a 3rd party pulled out for MS, they do have enough of their own stuff to quickly substitute something. Sure they may save for E3, but Sony will do something at E3 regardless of their lineup for next month as well.

Not true. Considering what I pay monthly for XBL and the combined worth of the games, I'd say they are free to me.

Keep insulting companies for giving free stuff mate, good job. Previous gen you didn't get anything and we didn't hear you screaming back then.

Maybe they see success with Pool Nation for now, it could be part of the deal made, xx time on sale or on GwG, we don't know the inner workings and can just guess.  There's always new people coming in who don't have these games, nothing wrong IMO to reposting them again if they're good and see success.

It's not worth indulging in the conversation mate. It's been done to death and he wont listen.

Actually I think Andy critiqued a fair few of the PS+ offerings on PS3 :p

As far as value goes for you, it isn't true. But on a technical level, it is true. You can't get the games unless you pay for the service. It is like renting games.

I'm not interested in how you justify it to yourself. The games aren't free, and neither are PS+ games.

I'm criticising the selection and quality because I pay for it, which I have every right to. You've no idea what my thoughts are concerning the value of a XBL sub, so don't put words in my mouth about what was or wasn't offered.
