nah, putty and its forks will live on

 

it is a rather powerful ssh tool with extra (some) more complicated features made easy to work with

Eh It'll be nice to have a client bundled with the OS for a change, not like it's anything new though in general though, there like around 20 clients out there already.

PuTTY will live on because there is still the need for xterm emulation. I also use it for interactive serial stuff since HyperTerminal was unbundled from Windows a while ago.
