Panda Bear Posted June 11, 2015 Share Posted June 11, 2015 Not sure if this is something that comes up often but is there a way of removing the limit on current draw when connected to a pc / data pins being used? Any way of doing it in the software or is it something built into the roms? Planning out a tablet install into a car but have been told the max current draw is 500mA when using the data pins since it thinks its connected to a pc. The plan had been to connect to the vehicles main headunit for music using the data wires and separate the power wires and run them through a voltage dropper pulling from the cigarette lighter circuit to allow for higher draw. I know about the nexus 7 option using the custom timur rom to acheive this but would like to keep my options open for a newer tablet than the nexus 7 if possible Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
