Logo colour swap

Question

Help an old fart please...

I have a logo which is a single colour on a white background. How do I go about swapping the colours, white logo on colour background?

(There may be a modicum of aliasing on the logo text)

I have Photoshop CS2, and paint obviously.

{CTRL} + i

Isn't that "invert"? I was thinking of mentioning that as well, but in his situation wouldn't that make the background black and the colour logo to be an opposite colour to whatever it is?

Apologies, I misread as black on what, wanting white on black.

OK, so personally (assuming I don't have access to the original artwork) I would still invert it, then shift the hue +180

@Nik - tried that it just makes the white logo black. I want to swap colours.

White logo on colour background gets swapped to white background and colour logo. Take for instance this logo....

In this instance I would like a white background with orange text.

Any ideas?

How's this?

I will note, all graphics of this type should be done as vectors in illustrator (or such).  Any changes in Photoshop like we are doing here are not a best practise.
