What exactly are you wanting to backup?  Just the vm files?  What visualization platform are you going to be using?

Well you don't really need any software to copy the vm files..  They are just .vmx files and .vhd files..

Veeam is probably your best option.

RecoverPoint is great for replication but it's not "backup" software, it'll just replicate data from VNX to VNX. Veeam also has a DDBoost option with Data Domain.

I prefer Altaro Vm Backup to Veeam, its similar but with more features, you get a more functional free version, and the paid licenses are cheaper,

I used Veeam for a while (free version) now I bought Altaro for a couple of hosts, and use the free version on another.
