The jokes came thick and fast as officers discussed the vehicle, which was found in Camden town centre yesterday evening. "Driver melted under questioning, flaky answers," tweeted Sgt Paul Taylor, announcing the arrest. "He didn't have a FAB day," responded Sgt Hay from Lambeth. Backup arrived within minutes in the form of two senior officers. "He needs more lolly to pay his magnum fines," opined Cmdr Chris Greany from the National Police Coordination Centre. Then Assistant Commander Helen King waded in, serving up a quadruple helping of dessert gags. "Did Pc Pike cone off the area?" she asked. "Clearly a chilled officer who churns out good work, but never milks it for praise." She added the hashtag #PunMet.
