REDEMPTION! USA Defeats Japan in Womens' World Cup Final 5-2

The loss against Japan dogged the US Womens' National Team  - until now.  Today, that got put paid - in style.

Three goals from Carli Lloyd (in the first sixteen minutes - the fastest natural hat trick in Womens' World Cup history).  While they didn't keep Japan completely off the board, they still rang up more shutdown minutes than any other team in a single Womens' World Cup.  (Department of Defense indeed.)
