fix-this!
so im on a very tight budget but want to either build a amd based budget rig or possibly buy a laptop. heres is where im at, which would be the better option? 1:) intel i5 based dell laptop. $579 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i5-6gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-silver/9515007.p?id=1219704424581&skuId=9515007 *I already have 16gb ram to upgrade this. i also have 2 samsung evo ssd drives. 2:) custom amd budget rig. case cpu psu hdmi cable for monitor extra case fan mobo cpu fan ram gpu 1080p lcd i get a $20 off credit on amazon, total build minus tax and shipping is under $620. if i choose the dell laptop with tax its about $610. i know intel performs better but im not a gamer at all. the pc will be for the internet, android rom building and themeing. watching videos. the only thing i really liked about the dell was the display and touchscreen. this obviously will be running w10 x64 home. what would be the better option? jnelsoninjax
Everything looks good except the motherboard. I would recommend spending $10 more and going with this board instead: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008V9959O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
BoondockSaint
All depends on what you want - the AMD will provide much more core grunt. The Dell has an ULV CPU, so while I am an intel fan, the AMD would run circles around it. ULV processors are designed for low power usage, and running cool. Of course you may want the conveniance of a notebook, so that has to factor in to it. If you are going to be doing development work, then you want good CPU performance. Always worth comparing CPU specs; http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-5200U-vs-AMD-FX-8320
