jdgalt
Last night I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I already had installed the game "History of the World" (Avalon Hill, 1997) in the folder C:\Program Files\HOTW. Now that folder appears not to exist -- until I try to reinstall the game from the CD. Then it "already exists." This happens even when logged in as an administrator. Microsoft -- you Visigoths -- give me back full access to my own computer!!! Arachno 1D
Is it now stored in the windows.old folder since the upgrade?
ahodes1
Is it possibly in the Program Files (x86) folder? That might explain why it doesn't display in Program Files but says that it already exists in the installer.
Arachno 1D
A repair should reinstall the shortcuts one would have thought Maybe history has been re-written! :eek!
jdgalt
There isn't any "Program Files (x86)" folder. There is a "Windows.old", with Program Files underneath it, but HOTW isn't in there. Start -> Settings -> Apps & Features doesn't show it installed either. jdgalt
What for? I'm trying to run it from the original CD (as its copy protection requires).
