SlayerS_BoxeR
Would you rather be a system admin or a database admin? and why? Please respect other people's comments if you will reply on their comments
Skiver Veteran Posted August 26, 2015 Veteran Share Posted August 26, 2015 I think it depends on what you define as a system admin, but I prefer a more specialised role so I'd probably go for DBA.

Skiver Veteran Posted August 26, 2015 Veteran Share Posted August 26, 2015 For the reason I said, I prefer roles where I'm focused on a particular "thing". In roles where I've had to try and manage lots of different areas I find I end up knowing bits of everything but not a lot of anything if that makes sense? a system/operation admin IMO sounds like a varied role, could be hardware, could be software, could be Email one day and networking the next.
