Options for Windows 10 Mobile dev devices?

Question

With Windows 10 I am quite interested in universal app development however I don't own a Windows phone so would like to pick one up once Windows 10 Mobile comes out. Other than Cityman and Talkman are there any cheaper devices in the pipeline? I don't want to spend a lot, £100 max, on a device just to get up to speed with things but it looks like City/Talkman are going to be around £200 minimum if the leaked specs are anything to go by.

Any other universal/windows phone devs here? What do you use? Is the Windows 10 Mobile emulator good enough to skip owning a device at least to begin with? Android pretty much requires a device as the emulator is awful.

The default emulator is fine except perhaps for the speed/cpu usage. GenyMotion is its true successor and integrates perfectly into Android Studio. It's basically a Virtualbox instance so it's easy to configure things like a bridged networked adapter.
