Reset PC - Only 'C' Drive?

I'm about to reset my PC. My HD is partitioned. Will the whole disc be formatted and reset, or just the 'C' drive?

If you're about to do a reset, it shouldn't do anything to your partitions.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. Just wanted to be sure. I have about 60 GB of music on the other partition.

It should only reset C however mistake can happen so make sure your backups are up-to-date and verified good!

Actually if this is Windows 10 then it should give you an option. If you reset your pc and have it keep your files then no formatting will happen. If you want to reset and choose not to keep your files then it will prompt if you just want to format C or all your drives.

Reset left me with a Windows.old folder , I still wonder how clean is this reset and how is old data used in the process. For example, reset keeps your drivers warm and who knows what files follow along.
