Mockingbird
I sent my Surface Pro 3 to Microsoft for replacement. I was told that I will get a "like new" device, but I am really worried that my new Surface won't be a "like new". I don't want a device with internal problems or external imperfections (dings, scratches). Deep down, I really really want MSFT to fix my Surface Pro 3 and return to me the same device, but I was told that is not possible. Has anyone else sent his/her Surface Pro 3 to Microsoft for replacement? What is the quality of the replacement? Is it "like new"? Oh, and I am not going to have a personal computer for over a week. prasad_990
I am afraid you will get a refurbished device only. I just got a replacement device for the broken surfacr pro 3 which I sent. When I checked it did not look new to me. The processor seems to be worn out. Need to test thoroughly before raising a flag to Microsoft service center.
