Only get reply notifications via. e-mail from forum, not news article replies

If I comment on a news article from the front page, I don't get reply notifications via. e-mail.

If I go to the same article through in the forum, I get reply notifications via. e-mail.

Can this bug be fixed?

We're rebuilding the comment > forum integration at the moment. Hopefully once that's done, notifications will work as they should.
