cosrocket
I purchased a PC with Windows 10 Home and found out that I will be having to use Desktop Remote to log in to another PC. Since I will have to upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro, I know that I can do it through the Windows Store, but I have a retail disk of Windows 7 Pro (full version). Is there a way that I can use use the activation key from the Windows 7 Pro disk to upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro?
philcruicks
Yeh, if you have the key, just go to Settings -> Update and Security -> Activation -> click change product key and try in the pro one. That should do it. You might need to go to add/remove features to actually add the pro features (I'm not sure), but that should upgrade you licence wise fine.
