benjamine6 Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 I just had a dumpster retrieved HP computer which i assume had Windows 7 judging by the sticker. I tried booting it up, But nothing would respond. It wasn't even getting power, So i assume its broken. Anyway, when i recieve a broken computer, i track out all of the stuff that probably is still useful. So i removed the DVD drive from the computer, then lined it up with my custom builds'. It looks like it fits, But is there any special compatibilities that are only avalible on an HP motherboard to support the DVD drive? I need to be sure before i install anything.
