Android 6.0 Marshmallow "on the way" to Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in Poland

Four months after Google officially released Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Samsung finally began upgrading its devices last week - but that deployment has so far been limited to the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in Samsung's home market of South Korea.

However, it seems the update will soon be making its way to other markets, as T-Mobile Poland has hinted at availability of the newest version of the OS for the same two devices on its network.

Roughly translated, the carrier's tweet states that "Android #Marshmallow is already on the way to our Samsung #s6 and #s6Edge - Christmas will come earlier this year?"

However, it seems that the rollout hasn't actually begun just yet - when asked by a customer for 'evidence' of the update, the carrier's Twitter team responded:

Samsung has certainly been taking its sweet time preparing Marshmallow for release to its devices - the company only began beta testing the update in the US last week, with a limited preview release for AT&T's Galaxy Note 5. It also ran a similar Android 6.0 beta program for the S6 and S6 edge in the UK a few weeks ago.

The slow pace at which Samsung updates its devices recently landed it in hot water in Europe. The company was sued in the Netherlands by a leading consumer group, which accused it of having a "poor software update policy for Android smartphones", demanding "that Samsung actually provide its smartphones with updates".
