I buy refurbished consoles. Last generation I bought my PS3 and Wii. This generation just the WiiU so far, but I'm waiting for a good catch on a PS4.

 

So no problems so far buying the refurbished. I get the kind that are certified from the manufacturer not some 3rd party who refurbished them.
