Cisco 3702 AP as an autonomous AP at home

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I have a 3702 that I switched from LWAP to Autonomous mode so that I can use it as a better wireless connection. I have an ASUS wireless router and connected the Ethernet from the 3702th into one of the switch ports. I can connect to the internet and move around pretty well but sometime I go to a site that just doesn't work. speedtest.net is one in particular and also a login to a banking page. The pages freeze and I get a timeout. If I switch back to my original wireless those sites work fine. My config on the AP is very simple,  only -have 1 SSID, no VLANs, the BVI is getting DHCP and the SSID is configured on both radios. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thank you very much!

-Steve

both ap's need to be on the same ssid and psk, as well as same security (aes or tkip).....ssid is case sensitive.

The wireless card in the device will pick the strongest in most cases, if you are still having an issue adjust the roaming aggressiveness to high in the nic card properties.
