Astra.Xtreme
I always hated how massive and heavy those Mac Minis are. Makes it literally impossible to load into a vehicle or moving truck. beanboy89 1 Share

I have to use a hand truck to move mine across the room. 46 minutes ago, -T- said: I bought one not long ago off ebay with an SSD, have to admit it makes it a perfectly usable machine. I have a 2011 model They are good machines. The new ones have locked down ram upgrades though. I have a 2012 model with an i7, 16GB of ram and TWO SSDs. A Mac mini can be used for almost anything a desktop Mac can be used for - the only real lack (for a mini) is discrete GPU support. The only headache with minis are the oldest of them (Core Duo-based) - and that is due to incompatibility with the latest versions of OS X; if it's based on Core 2 or later, you're largely fine. No, your username & a timestamp on a piece of paper next to your Mac Mini will do. Dick Montage and The Evil Overlord 2 Share

kalel83
I would put better storage in it and use it as a media server on my home network. Can't be too much power usage for something that small... in theory. Or can you stick linux on it? USB wifi dongles? Could make a Tor router that you connect to via wifi that all content that passes in and out goes through tor.
