A question ...

Recommended Posts

Okay, we got the whole support mystery solved. You know, that one extra year of support if you update to Redstone 1.

But ... That brings up another question. What about Redstone 2 and 3?  If Redstone 2 is slated for release in April 2017, wouldn't that be "Windows 10 Version 1704?" If I update to Redstone 2, would that mean more support years (in this case of RS2, 2022/2027 for mainstream and extended)?

Part of what makes it confusing is Threshold 1 and 2. Both of those will end support in 2020 and 2025, which is understandable. But ... Since Redstone 3 will be released in 2018, wouldn't that make it 2023/2028 for support? I figured that since those Redstone updates (2 and 3, to be specific) are part of the whole "Redstone" upgrade, it'd keep the support years intact (not delay it).

Am I wrong? Can someone please clarify this? Thanks.

You know, the only dumb question is the one never asked, right? :)

To which, by the way, I'm having a 4th can of Cherry-Ahh-Rita and I'm still aware that none of you have answered.
