If I have wi-fi calling enabled, any reason to keep extender?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

As the title suggests. I have had the Samsung network extender for 3g for a while now. and recently upgraded handsets in the home so that everyone can have and enable wi-fi calling. Is there any reason to keep the network extender in play? Functionally, does the extender have any benefit to wi-fi calling? Can both receive SMS messages? Is call quality better or worse on one or the other. Would like to save some power and decrease the amount of wireless spectrum being broadcast in the home if possible. So removing the extender if I don't out on anything would be great! Plus I can put it up for sale and make some of the money back!

Any comments are appreciated! Thank you!

I would keep the extender going just in case anyone with a Verizon wireless phones that doesn't support WiFi calling (there are quite a few models that don't support WiFi calling ) is at your location.
