picture says the most...

Thanks to that the sound is very "jittery" and there's random freezes playing games that use opengl/glide/ect...

I've disabled "set irq to pci vga" in the bios, but it still seems to want to take number 11... the sound card is built in... but no where to change the irq number.

And as you can see windows won't let me change it either... Moving the card around doesn't change the irq number either.

So... what can I do?

General Description of IRQ Sharing in Windows (Q252420)

I'd take a close look at the bottom of that article.

If you need to manually assign IRQ addresses through the BIOS to a device on an ACPI motherboard, you will need to re-install Windows to force the installation to use a Standard PC HAL.

My sound card and video card were sharing IRQ's (Without a problem, I think), but I decided to mess everything up anyway and followed a tweak on tweakxp.com to change my computer to use standard HAL without reinstalling windows. After I did this, the two devices were no longer sharing, however, my computer didn't automatically trun off, so I decided to go back. When I went back to ACPI, my sound and video cards still didn't share IRQ's :D . This might just be a fluke on my system, but you can allways try it. Maybe you can just change it to standard HAL and call that goog enough, but none of the ACPI features will work. Good Luck.

Here's the link to that tweak that will tell you how to make the changes: http://www.tweakxp.com/tweakxp/display.asp?id=712
