Hellafax
Okie dokie -- To get to the Device Manager -- Right click on "My Computer," select "Manage." Select "Device Manager," double click on "IDE/ATA Controllers," then double click on "Primary IDE" -- select "Advanced Settings" If your Primary IDE (Your HDD) is in PIO mode, close the properties dialog, right click on the Primary IDE, and select "Uninstall," then reboot. Good luck, and I hope it helps.

Ruciz
delete your controller, unplug it from your box and restart. now after your computers restarted plug it back in, and go to "add" select your controller and give it about 10 seconds to install. if it still says not connected, go to the gravis website and look for updates for XP. thats all I can think of, if you already did that. try uninstalling it, then restarting with it not plugged in, then restart again and plug it in while restarting. sometimes that works.
