[film workshop] some feedback on title sequence

Recommended Posts

We are beginning work on a short film, around 30 mins long that will be uploaded to the web <strokes 3GB webspace> and put onto SVCD to distribute locally among friends/family to build up a sort of feedback and hype for larger works thereafter.

Now, this short film has a street theme to it, not in teh 8-Mile rapping sense but a simular style with street life and that. Can't say much more about it than that at this moment in time but that's all that needs to be said for the question below.

As for the title sequence, we will use scene setting and location like you have in many films, this will be the camera taking the audience on a "tour" through the city cycling day and night with the backing music playing.

I came accross a song that I felt suited this perfectly but need some random feedback form people other than ourselves to make sure it' seemed ok. Therefore this sample is the end chorus part of the full track and if we do use it I will go about seeking the permission to use it in a this "student film".

The title sequence will be 2-3 minutes long and will have a sort of juxtapositioning movement into the opening sequence whilst the music fades out.

There is not a working title yet for the short piece either, right now it's all ideas moving onto the script and filming

Thanks!

those that have seen Ghost Dog will know what I'm on about
