The .NET Show

Recommended Posts

Hey, around the end of the new edition of The .NET Show, the General Manager of Avalon says something that leads me to believe that a new build will be released around the "beginning of the year" (this was recorded in December from what I understand). Anyway, I'm guessing that if you have MSDN, you'll get this new build for download. Can anyway confirm that I heard what I think I heard?

Check around 40-45 minutes into the show!

Yes, that's what he says. I've watched it twice now and he clearly states that there will be a new build (PDC Refresh) early this year. I have talked to a few people and they say that this refresh should come in Feb., we'll just have to wait and see.

I just hope that this refresh includes a little more Aero than the last one. I understand that they want to keep it away from the public for a while, but they could give us a little more than "Slate." :x

I can confirm that the General Manger of Indigo did say that there will be a new build (PDC Refresh) "at the beginning of the year" and a new refresh "every few months."

im running on a 56 k modem and im getting the video at 1 frame every three seconds, and scratchy audio :(

does anyone have screenshots, and why should i go to the trouble of getting this from msdn instead of keeping XP?

There are so many new programming ops it's crazy. I would wait a little longer though before trying to mess around with it now. By Beta 1 it should be pretty stable and ready to be developed on.
