David123987
When my hard drive was badly fragmented, I wanted to use diskeeper too. I was able to load it but afterwards when I defraged it screwed it all up. I ended up reinstalling XP and then installed diskeeper and it has been a match made in heaven:cool: . I would recommend you use the built in defrag first then try to reinstall diskeeper. Even if the XP defrager takes a while.
nartac
I also have problem with Diskeeper (version 7.0.398) even if i installed it after a fresh install of WinXP. Bugged the heck out of me until I tried O&O defragment Pro v4. It works like a charm and never complained about anything like Diskeeper. I have it set to run everyday. nartac
Check out the review here: http://mcpmag.com/reviews/products/article...ditorialsID=211. After reading the review of both O&O product and Diskeeper, i just threw away my Diskeeper and bought O& O instead. Diskeeper is a good program and lots of people are happy with it but b/c of the problems that i have with it, i use O&O instead.
